Nine Gold Medals !!
Born in 1983 in Recife, Brazil, Jaqueline Carvalho is a female Brazilian volleyball player. And as a member of the Brazilian women’s volleyball team, she won nine gold medals. Including two Olympic golds. She has played for clubs of three countries in which seven clubs in her native country and two clubs in Italy and one for Spain.
Jaqueline Carvalho the early years
Carvalho started playing volleyball for her local side, Sporting Recife, at the age of 13. But she was recognized in Osasco Voleibol Clube, in Sao Paolo. Her first of three separate stints for the club began in 2002, and she continued to win nine club titles in the following ten years. Carvalho had been Most Valuable Player at the FIVB U20 World Championships. Then she signed for Osasco and succeeded to win two consecutive Brazilian Superliga titles.
Jaqueline Carvalho Move to Rio
Furthermore, Jaqueline Carvalho moved to Rio de Janeiro to play for Rexona Ades (now Rio de Janeiro Voleibol Clube) and won her third Brazilian Superliga title in her second season at the club, at the age of 21. In the same year, along with winning the gold of Brazilian women’s team at the World Grand Prix in Sendai, Japan, Carvalho experienced international success at the highest level for the first time.
Again in November 2005, Brazil won the World Grand Champions Cup in Tokyo, and then the team defended its World Grand Prix title in Calabria in the following year.
In 2006, Carvalho moved to play in Europe for Vini Monteschiavo Jesi, and she won silver and bronze at the World Championships in 2006, 2010, and 2014, respectively. Carvalho then grabbed a silver medal at the 2007 World Cup (which Brazil won), held in Japan, and stormed to the gold at the Beijing Olympics in 2008, losing only one set in the whole tournament. At the 2010 World Championships, the Brazilian team got behind the Russian team and took the silver medal. In the same year, she received Best Spiker Award at the 2010 FIVB World Grand Prix. The Brazilian team won 2008, 2014, and 2016 World Grand Prix titles.
2012 Summer olympics
As a member of the national team, Carvalho contributed Brazil to win the gold medal at the 2011 Pan American Games held in Guadalajara, held in Mexico. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Carvalho won gold and Brazil’s national team succeeded to grab the title. Carvalho competed and won the gold medal and the Best Receiver award in the 2012 FIVB Club World Championship held in Doha, Qatar while playing with Sollys Nestle.
After 2005, she secured second gold medals at the 2013 World Grand Champions Cup, Tokyo where the Brazillian team also won the title. On August 24, 2013, she faced the final match against Japan and won her fourth gold medal of the World Grand Prix. After joining Camponesa-Minas for the 2014/15 season, Carvalho participated at the 2015 Pan American Games and won the silver medal. Then she returned to Minas in November 2016.

Jaqueline Carvalho is married to a Brazilian volleyball player, Murilo Endres. Endres is also a 16-time international gold medal-winning volleyball player. The couple have a son named Arthur.
